Blue Bells Model Sr Sec School, Sec-4, Gurgaon hosts Cybermania Blue Bells Model Sr Sec School, Sec-4, Gurgaon hosted a computer and technology based competition Cybermania. The programme was inaugurated by Mr Chandra, chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Almost all the prestigious schools of Gurgaon participated in it. Pathways International School stood first in the cyber crusade. In the scribble splash, Shallom Hills School bagged the first prize. DAV Public School won the robo race. Rabindranath World school stood first in the Directors Cut event. School viceprincipal Anjali Nagpal delivered the vote of thanks.Students of Lilawati Vidya Mandir, Shakti Nagar participated in XXVIII Manav Sthali Maths talent test at national level. Kartik Garg and Diwakar Garg scored 80-89% and were awarded a certificate of excellence along with a sliver seal. Ashish Mittal, Himanshu Garg, Sahil Kumar and Sanchit Narula received a certificate of appreciation along with a bronze seal. School principal Sushma Khurana congratulated the winners.Presentation of the book Glimpses of Sikh History took place in Sahibzada Ajit Singh auditorium of Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh.The occasion was to facilitate Sr RS Jolly for his endeavour in reaching out to the school students. In the question hour session, students asked questions related to Sikh history which donned upon the young minds and they received cash prizes. The educators and book lovers were delighted by the captivating presentation which was an initiative of school vice-chairman S Makhan Singh and principal. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ravinder Kaur Sahni.SLSDAV Public School, Mausam Vihar participated in DAVMUN 2012 at DAV Public School, Sec-14, Gurgaon. In all, 116 schools with more than 900 delegates participated in the conference. The theme of the event was Sustainable energy for all. MUN is an initiative to bring to light the global problems of various countries, where students of various schools participated and represented as delegates of the designated country. SLSDAV students represented Turkey in general assembly, ECOSOC and CND. Piyush Bansal and Mahish Guru got the best position paper award. The school also bagged the best movie award for the movie Conquerors of Humanity based on Disability the call for empathy and inclusion in the movie making competition.Bal Bharati Public School, Noida celebrated its 13th annual day. The chief guest Dr Yogendra Narain along with chairman, school managing committee, OP Bhutani and other dignitaries were welcomed in the traditional Indian style. The programme began with Mangalam, an invocation dance to seek divine blessings. School principal Asha Prabhakar presented the annual report. The students were applauded and awarded for their excellence in academics, sports and other co-curricular activities. A thematic procession to throw light on issues such as joy of giving, education for all, compassion towards animals and environmental awareness mesmerised the audience. The programme commenced with Arise and Worship, a dance performance by the school students, followed by a mesmerising display of yoga and a dumbbell act. The grand finale performance Crowning Glory enshrined the spirit of nationalism amongst all. Various stalls included were exotic food, games, palmistry, electronic gadgets etc. The children enjoyed the rides which were put up for them. The students enthralled the visitors with their Indian and western dances. To add to their fun were the magic and muppet shows. The carnival concluded with the lucky draws. The first prize was a Tablet PC, second was food processor and the third was a cycle.Himalaya Public Sr Sec School, Rohini organised a prize distribution ceremony for the students of Abacus users who passed abacus level I.
