Doon Public School,Paschim Vihar: The school celebrated its sports day cum annual prize distribution ceremony.Dr Bijender Singh (MLA,Nangloi) graced the occasion as the guest of honour and unfurled the school flag carrying the message A healthy mind dwells in a healthy body.Doonites were also honoured to have Yadvinder Singh Sandhu as the chief guest.He donated the original hand written diary of Bhagat Singh written in the Lahore jail from 1929-1931 to the school library.The students put up a few drills namely- pom-pom drill,ball drill,yoga,aerobics,pyramids and taekwondo.Students of class X and XII who excelled in the Board examinations,were awarded cash prizes under the DMDM scheme (Double the marks double the money) during the prize distribution ceremony.The students who had 100% attendance also received appreciation certificates.Those who stood first in class received trophies while students excelling in music,science,commerce,sports and the winners of the Bhaskara Maths competition were also awarded.Information gathered from Internet from Click Here
