PROBLEMSOLVING SKILLSVishakha Sharma/TNNThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Problem Solving Assessment (PSA) for classes IX and XI on February 14, from 10 am to 11.30 am. As decided by the board earlier this year, the test will be compulsory for all students enrolled in the school in classes IX and XI for the academic session 2012-13.    Although there is no specific syllabus for CBSE-PSA, it will assess students in the following areas quantitative reasoning, qualitative reasoning and language conventions. The test will be of 90 marks and have 60 questions of MCQ type. According to Vineet Joshi, chairman, CBSE, life skills shall be assessed within the following domains:    Quantitative: This includes reasoning found in humanities, arts and social sciences    Qualitative: This includes kinds of reasoning found in mathematics and science    Language conventions: This includes different aspects of written communication (grammar, vocabulary, etc).
