participated in a declamation contest at Bristol HotelStudents of Sherwood Convent School, DLF City Gurgaon participated in a declamation contest at Bristol Hotel organised by the Rotary Club, DLF Qutab Enclave on August 1. Debika Mitra (IX A), Kunal Malik (VIII A) and Pooja Joshi (X A) bagged the first, second and third prizes respectively. Kritika, Atanu and Abhilash were also awarded a certificate and a prize each.CCA School hosted an English elocution competition on July 25. 15 schools of Gurgaon participated in it. Col J K Bajaj was the chief guest The judges were Sudershan Sharma, Priti Agarwal and Renuka Arora. Ishita of CCA School won the first prize. The second and third positions were bagged by Chavi and Sahil of Blue Bells Model School.Appreciation awards were given to Himika of CCA School, Alisha and Shalmali of Ryan International respectively. The overall trophy was awarded to CCA School, but being the host school, the trophy was awarded to Blue Bells Model School. School principal N Yadav proposed the vote of thanks.A team of three students from Gyan Devi Public School, Gurgaon participated in an inter-school elocution competition held on July 25. Riya Aggarwal (X), Ritu Raut (IX) and Sonam Yadav (VII) were awarded participation certificates.Salwan Public School, Gurgaon organised a training programme-cum-study visit for the primary project co-ordinators from Sri Lanka on July 25. In the inaugural session, school principal Dr Indu Khetarpal gave a brief about the integrated educational programme developed by the school and development of the curriculum and instructional material by the faculty. The subject expert Prof. V P Gupta, discussed the present scenario of elementary education in the country.The maths faculty gave an overview of mathematics at the primary level in the school.
